Alaska is home to almost half of all the public parkland in the United States., with 333 million acres of Alaska parklands administered by national, state and local agencies. These lands represent a vast public trust set aside for protection, preservation and public use by all who seek adventure in the great outdoors.

Alaska parklands are a haven for all sorts of outdoor activities, including camping, hiking, backpacking, hunting, fishing, wildlife viewing, bird watching, outdoor photography, boating, kayaking, canoeing, cross country skiing, and snowshoeing. There’s hardly an outdoor activity that you can imagine that can’t be found among the hundreds of Alaska parkland properties.
